Hi. I’m Laasya, an aspiring entrepreneur and venture capitalist. Slide through to learn a little bit about me!
I’ve always been extremely passionate about anything that involves art. I graduated from 4 mediums in technical mixed media art, and was a stage manager + sound producer for a local theatre company. I also have a knack for hiking and exploring nature. I made a goal to visit every single national park when I was 12 years old. So far I’ve visited 31/63!
Fueled by my love for art and exploration, I always found myself starting my own businesses. It started off with the rite-of-passage: having a lemonade stand. This was my early exposure to building something of my own that I could provide as a service to other people. I was very excited by it, so I continued to practice entrepreneurship in many different ways. Highlights include starting my own summer camp for elementary schoolers and a resale clothing and jewelry store, plus directing the revenue playbook for a restaurant with two locations (which I eventually sold off at a profit).
These experiences ignited my appetite for risk and sourcing founders who are creating the next breakthrough. It started off by creating new systems for tech & law companies that I interned for. Soon enough, I found myself redefining the portfolio strategy of a subsidiary VC company. Now, I’ve co-founded my own company: Zena Trading, where I am engineering the brand development of an exchange that will revolutionize prediction market trading.
